CVS Manager Struck By Fleeing Shoplifter's Vehicle

The victim, a woman, was not seriously injured in the incident that occurred Jan. 14.

The manager of a CVS store on Harford Road was struck by the vehicle of an alleged shoplifter fleeing her store.

A man left the CVS store, located in the 9300 block of Harford Road, around 4:20 p.m. Jan. 14 and caused the alarm to sound, according to a police report.

The manager of the convenience store followed the man to a black 4-door sedan in the parking lot, stood in front of the vehicle and asked him to show the receipt for the items, the report states.

The man threw some items out of the vehicle and the car began to pull forward, striking the victim and causing her to land on the hood of the car, the report states.

The victim told police her neck hurt, but refused medical treatment.
