Denny's Offers Free Food to Furloughed Government Employees

Federal and military workers can get a buy-one-get-one-free entree at Denny's in Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia, according to a news release from the restaurant.

Federal employees can get a free meal at Denny's restaurants this month.

"On the heels of the government shutdown, Denny’s is offering all federal employees and military personnel with a valid government ID one free entrée of his or her choice with the purchase of another entrée," according to a statement from the restaurant chain.

The offer is good at Denny's restaurants in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. "Furloughed federal workers and military personnel need only present valid ID to redeem the buy-one-get-one ... offer" through Oct. 31.

In the Parkville-Overlea area, residents can take advantage of the offer at the Denny's restaurant at 1995 E. Joppa Road and 8025 Belair Road.
