Police say the assault occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

A Parkville man was arrested last week after police say he pointed a shotgun at his son-in-law’s neck and threatened to kill him.

On Nov. 20, the victim was involved in a fight with the suspect's son at a home on Edgewood Road around 9:50 p.m.

After the fight, police say that Joseph John King, 58, of the 3000 block of Edgewood Road, retrieved a shotgun from his bedroom and pointed it at the victim’s neck.
