The Blessing of the Animals is to commemorate Francis of Assisi who is known for his appreciation for animals and the environment.
A short service will be held in the St. John’s Prayer Labyrinth located in the park right behind the St. John's parking lot.
“This is an opportunity to bless all animals, and especially the ones nearest and dearest to us,” said Pastor Amy. “People are welcome to bring their pet with them, or bring a picture of their pet.”
Blessing Bags will be handed out with treats for dogs and cats along with a blessing for each animal. A photo booth will be available for people to take a commemorative photo with their beloved pets.
The public is invited to attend the service.
