Baltimore Hebrew Congregation Introduces The Adventure Rabbi

Rabbi Jamie Korngold is known as The Adventure Rabbi.

And she's the new scholar-in-residence at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation, according to the congregation's newsletter the "Bulletin."

She's an ordained rabbi "recognized for her work combining Judaism and nature," the September issue states.

She leads a congregation without walls in Boulder, CO, and has written four books, including "God in the Wilderness: Rediscovering the Spirituality of the Outdoors with the Adventure Rabbi," it states.

Next month, according to the "Bulletin," Korngold will lead three events:

• A camping trip Oct. 19-20
• An Exploring Spirituality series presentation Oct. 20 on her book "God in the Wilderness." According to a series flier, that event is at 6 p.m. at the congregation, and is titled "Havdalah with Rabbi Jamie Korngold."
• A story, craft and walk at 10 a.m. Oct. 21, along with PJ Library program. The latter is open to the community.
