New Walgreens Opens Friday, Grand Opening April 19
The second Walgreens in Pikesville opens Friday as part of the company's statewide expansion.
When the second Pikesville Walgreens opens this morning at the corner of Reisterstown and Old Court roads, it will be the first of several new stores throughout the state.
A grand opening celebration is set for April 19 at the new Pikesville store, according to a report in Convenience Store News. There will be free giveaways and children's activities during the event.

The new store is located at 1504 Reisterstown Road, in the now-renovated site of the former Staples store. is now located a block south in the Pikesville Shopping Center.
Other Walgreens set to open throughout the state are at Johns Hopkins University campus in Baltimore, and in Cockeysville, Federal Hill, Hyattsville, Laurel, Perry Hall, Odenton and Rockville. Two will open in Hagerstown, the report states.
