Flash Flood Forecast Friday in Western Baltimore County
The National Weather Service said rain from Tropical Storm Andrea could lead to flash flooding, from Northern Virginia through the Baltimore area, including up to 2.75 inches from Catonsville through Pikesville.

As Tropical Storm Andrea nears the Florida coast, the National Weather Service warned Baltimore County residents Thursday to start preparing for the heavy rain and hazardous conditions expected between now and late Friday evening.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the greater Baltimore area as well as parts of northern Virginia. It's in effect from 9:41 p.m. through 10 p.m. Friday, according to the forecast Thursday night.
Some areas could see up to 4 inches of rain, according to NWS projections.

As of 10 p.m. Thursday, the forecast calls for 2.75 inches at the west side of Baltimore County, from Catonsville to Pikesville.
Runoff from the rain may lead to flash floods around small streams or low-lying and coastal areas.
