A 34-year-old Owings Mills man was killed early Sunday after his car crashed into the rear of a tractor trailer on the Baltimore Beltway in Pikesville, police said.
Officials said Bennie Lee Shaw Jr. was driving on the outer loop of the Beltway near Greenspring Avenue at 4:36 a.m. when his 2005 Audi A8 crashed into a 1999 International tractor trailer, according to the Maryland State police.
Shaw was trapped in his vehicle and was extracted but was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured, according to police.
