• Michael Dukes Transforms Pikesville High Into Girls' Basketball Juggernaut (pressboxonline.com) — Pikesville High’s girls’ basketball team has become a state powerhouse under coach Michael Dukes, winning five straight Class 1A titles and eyeing a sixth. With magnet programs drawing out-of-district talent and local players choosing to stay, roughly half the roster now lives in Pikesville, giving residents a homegrown team competing — and winning — against top programs across the Mid-Atlantic.
   

• Governor Moore Announces $69.5 Million in Awards for Statewide Community Revitalization and Economic Development (wgmd.com) — A major state grant will help turn the historic 14-acre Pikesville Armory into a workforce development makerspace, bringing new training and economic opportunities close to home. It’s part of Governor Wes Moore’s $69.5 million package funding 226 revitalization projects across Maryland, aimed at boosting small businesses, housing, and community facilities in disinvested neighborhoods.
