Quarry Lake Festival to Feature Entertainment, Food
There will be more than 60 vendors, including six nurseries, that will present everything from jewelry and furniture to African violets, cut flowers and Bonsai plants.
There's a good reason to stick around Pikesville this Sunday: .
About 60 vendors will line the picturesque lakeside Quarry Lake Drive, during the event from the Pikesville Chamber of Commerce.
They'll offer food, garden items, jewelry, art, furniture and wines and more during the festival, which runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

"It's a good time for people to come out along Quarry Lake Drive and see all the participants, the stage events and the antique carsβand it's all free," said Jay Harris of Harris Promotions, the event coordinator.
The food will be a draw, as will the live entertainment: a karate demonstration, a "Quarry Can Sing" karaoke contest, a magician and a group from Pikesville that sings and dances, Harris said.

If the food and live entertainment aren't enough to grab kids' interest, there will also be a moonbounce, face painting, a caricature artist and balloon artist, he said.
Gardens and spring are the theme of the event, so flowers and plants will be amply represented.
Six nurseries will offer the following and more: African violets, planters, terrariums, furniture, flowers, plantsβincluding cactus and Bonsaiβcut flowers, herbs, asparagus and cactus, Harris said.
Two wine businesses will be represented: and Fiori winery. There will also be an antique cars show.
Also among the vendors will be the Maryland Artisan Guild, led by Pikesville resident Yaakov Bar Am, according to a report in the Baltimore Jewish Times.
He's a woodworker who specializes in custom-crafted furniture and wood collectibles, the report states.
The event is sponsored by the , which has hired Harris to coordinate the Sunday festival and two other street festivals:
- β11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 10, on Sudbrook Lane between Reisterstown and Old Court roads. "This event will include food, beer and wine, entertainment, children's activities, antique cars, vendors and a few surprises," according to the chamber website.
- β11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 23, on Quarry Lake Drive. This event will include entertainment, food, vendors, childrenβs activities, beer and wine and a Ravens mascot., called the Mt. Washington Wine & Jazz Fest, also coordinated by Harris.
Sponsors, advertisers and vendors are needed for the June and September events.
