Rap Artist Took Canceled Pikesville Party to DC

Gucci Mane's concert was canceled last weekend in Pikesville.

Rapper Gucci Mane's album release party set for Saturday in Pikesville was held at an alternative site in D.C.

Fur Night Club took on the party after the Pikesville one was canceled with short notice Friday.

The new location was mentioned on the artist's website, as well as on Fur's website.

The cancelation by the Pikesville Military Reservation, the original site of the planned party, concerned Baltimore County police, who used their own social media, and asked Pikesville Patch for help in getting the word out.

The department wanted to make sure that fans didn't show up in Pikesville, disappointed that the concert had been canceled.

There were no incidents in Pikesville Saturday related to the canceled concert, said Lt. Michael DiCara of the department's Pikesville precinct.
