UPDATE: Quarry Bagel & Cafe Is Sold

An auction was held last week, and another Quarry Lake business owner bought the popular breakfast and lunch restaurant.

UPDATE (3 p.m.)—Quarry Bagel & Cafe, a breakfast and lunch restaurant at The Shops at Quarry Lake, has been sold.

"It sold to another food tenant in Quarry Lake," said Scott Frank, auction specialist for commercial and residential properties. He represents Alex Copper Chattel Auctions.

Current owner Geoff Friedman said it sold to the owners of California Tortilla, and that transitioning ownership will take up to three weeks. During that time Quarry Bagel will remain open—and beyond.

Friedman said he will help the new owner transition into operating the business. And it's likely that the new owner will keep the restaurant open for dinner.

An auction of the business "in its entirety" was held Friday, according to the auction announcement. Included in the sale were: name, goodwill, equipment including Globe SP 20 Mixer, a range, walk-in refrigerator and freezer, and more.
