Good morning, Potomac! It’s Monday morning, a new week and time to get started with today’s “5 Things.” Among our offerings: weather, some interesting tidbits and a few quick notes.

1. The beginning of our week will be sunny and chilly, while we may see some rain, cloud cover and high temperatures in the later part of the week. Today will be sunny with a high of 48, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be cloudy with lows dropping to 32. Tuesday may see rain, while the rest of the week should be partly cloudy.

2. is launching a nationwide contest to find the best-dressed home in its Patch communities, and the winner’s school district will receive $100,000, no strings attached. Beginning on Dec. 8 and continuing through today, you can nominate your home by uploading a photo to the contest entry form on the site.
