5 Things to Know Today: Sept. 6

The long weekend is over, and it is back to business for Potomac.

It's Tuesday, Potomac, and I hope you enjoyed your long weekend. Labor Day is over and it is time to head back to work and school, but don't worry -- Patch has you covered with today's "5 Things."

1. Labor Day is over, but that doesn't mean you can't still enjoy it. Make sure you take a look at our photos of the Kensington Labor Day parade, if you haven't already.

2. As you are out and about today, please remember that the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the area in effect through the evening. Motorists are advised to avoid driving through streets covered in water.

3. This brings us to our weather for the day: Today we expect rain, and nothing but, according to the National Weather Service. The day's high may reach 67 with a low of 64. Be sure to drive safely through all that rain!
