Dave McKenna vs Dan Snyder: Who is right?

A well-publicized, Washington area drama may be coming to an end. We aren't talking about Real Housewives or the latest Capitol Hill kerfuffle, but rather an altercation that hits a little closer to the hearts of Washington sports fans in the Potomac neighborhood.

After a year of jibes and lawsuits between Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder and Washington City Paper writer Dave McKenna, McKenna has written his final column for the City Paper. Titled "Dan Snyder: Unsportsman of the Year, 2011," McKenna leaves CP with a diatribe of Snyder proportional to the November 2010 column that got him and his publication sued. Snyder pulled the suit in September of this year, but it looks like tempers and feelings haven't cooled much since.

In his column, McKenna checks off Snyder's alleged failings as a team owner and human being like a Thanksgiving shopping list, citing broken promises to fans, Redskins players, trees and more.

McKenna isn't Snyder's only anti-fan. A quick Twitter search of "Dan Snyder" only pulls mentions and kudos to McKenna for his column. Darren Rovell, an Emmy Award winning sports business writer for CNBC and tweep to 160,074 followers wrote, "Writer's farewell column is an epic takedown of Dan Snyder."

Others joined in, adding that Snyder is "the pinnacle of an ugly capitalist," and touting McKenna's words as a "must read."
