Do You Remember The 2011 Earthquake?

One year ago today, Potomac and the rest of the DMV experienced one of the biggest shocks in recent history: An earthquake that sent thousands of people running for cover and causing thousands of dollars worth of damage.

For my part, the date also marks my one-year anniversary with Patch. I remember sitting in Potomac Place Shopping Center on my first day of work in Montgomery County when the earthquake hit. I didn’t even know the numbers for Montgomery County’s emergency services yet.
