Large Home Destroyed in Fire Monday in Potomac
Homeowners were not at home at the time. 65 firefighters at the scene, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue.
POTOMAC, MD — No residents were injured, but a large Potomac home was destroyed by a fire Monday.
Crews responded at near 2 p.m. to the home in the 14000 block of Gorky Drive.
The first reports were of a garage fire, but the full house quickly became engulfed in flames.

Sixty-five firefighters were at the scene at one time, according to Montgomery Fire spokesperson Pete Piringer.
No one was home at the time of the fire.

The fire was completely out by 3:30, but the home was nearly a total loss, according to Piringer.
