Man, Woman Killed After Car Crashes Into Tree In Potomac: Police
Two Potomac residents died when their car struck a tree on Democracy Boulevard late Wednesday night, police said.

POTOMAC, MD — Two Potomac residents died when their car struck a tree on Democracy Boulevard at Gainsborough Road late Wednesday night, Montgomery County police said. The decedents have been identified as Kent Matthew Brooks, 30, and his neighbor Kathleen Michelle French, 33.
Police responded to the crash at about 11:39 p.m. and found a 2011 Audi S4 off the roadway. Police said Brooks was driving eastbound on Democracy Boulevard, when for reasons still under investigation, he left the roadway and struck a tree.
Brooks had addresses in the 7800 block of Heatherton Lane in Potomac and the 1400 block of Bradley Boulevard in Bethesda. The passenger, French, lived in the 7500 block of Heatherton Lane.
