As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, officers from Montgomery County police department's 1st District will no longer be working from Rockville. Thereafter, that police district—which includes parts of Rockville and the rural parts of Northwest Montgomery County—will move into the county's public safety headquarters at 100 Edison Park Dr. in Gaithersburg. Police made the announcement Friday <a href="http://www.mymcpnews.com/2013/05/17/1st-district-police-station-to-move-to-new-location/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">on the department's official blog</a>. Police said there would be no disruption to police services. All station telephone numbers would remain the same. The old 1st District headquarters was at 1451 Seven Locks Rd.
