Patch GOTW Poll: Jan. 9-13

Montgomery County Public School students returned from their winter break Jan. 3 and the athletes wasted no time getting back into the full swing of the winter season. Neither does our Game of the Week coverage.

Previous GOTW poll winners were both Churchill boys varsity basketball for their games Dec. 16 against Springbrook and Dec. 19 against Northwest.

This week's game -- a doubleheader -- was selected by Patch as the Game of the Week for Potomac, North Potomac-Darnestown, and Rockville Patch as rivals Wootton and Churchill meet in girls and boys varsity basketball Friday, Jan. 6.

Wootton will host both games, beginning with the girls' matchup at 5:15 p.m., followed by the boys' game at 7.
