Police Identify Body Found In Potomac River As Virginia Man

POTOMAC, MD — Authorities have identified a man whose body was found in the Potomac River on Monday.

The body of Jason Lloyde Scrivo, 27, of Leesburg, Virginia was recovered near Harrison Island in the Dickerson area, according to Montgomery County police. The call about a body in the Potomac River came around 2:30 p.m.

Authorities say they are conducting a death investigation. Scrivo's remains were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
