Potomac Robotics Students Win National Championship

Eight Upper School robotics teams from The Potomac School participated in the U.S. Open National Championship.

From the Potomac School: Eight Upper School robotics teams from The Potomac School participated in the U.S. Open National Championship in Council Bluffs, IA, during the first weekend in April. Three of the school’s teams competed together as an alliance to become the U.S. Open champions.

The members of the winning alliance were seniors Randall Kliman, Krishna Kumar, and John Tofil; sophomores Ben Adolphe, Matthew Giuliano, Jake Levingston, Arjun Kumar, and freshman Akshay Gupta; and sophomores Zoe Dubelier, Marshall Riccardi, James Jordan, Kenneth Lin, Max Wehner, and Jared White.

Another Potomac group, comprising juniors Rebecca Crawley and Jasmine Terrones and freshman Jodie Kuo, was part of a multi-school alliance that was named a finalist in the competition.

Other Potomac teams received a variety of recognitions for the quality of their robots and the skills that they demonstrated.
