His Ridgely-headquartered operation raises poultry and crops while transforming agricultural waste into organic compost that supports cleaner water, healthier soils, and a stronger Chesapeake Bay region.

• Charlotte Sue Sawyer (talkbusiness.net) — Ridgely readers may recognize the family of Charlotte Sue Sawyer, whose daughter Bonnie Sue Gallagher and her husband Josh live in town. Charlotte, a Maryland native known for her love of nature, animals, and creative decorating, passed away December 4 in Mountainburg at age 67, leaving behind a close-knit family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and beloved pets.
