7 Votes Separate Candidates in District 3 School Board Race

The race is too close to call between Dinora Hernandez and Amber Waller in Prince George's County.

The District 3 seat for Prince George’s County Board of Education is too close to call as of Wednesday afternoon. Seven votes separate newcomer Dinora Hernandez, endorsed by County Executive Rushern L. Baker III, and incumbent Amber Waller, according to The Washington Post.Other candidates who Baker endorsed -- Lupi Grady in District 2, Carolyn Boston in District 6 and Sonya Williams in District 9 -- won their races.As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, Hernandez has 5,167 votes against Waller’s 5,160, according to the Maryland Board of Elections.Waller is running for her third term on the board.>>File|Patch===========Have a news tip?
