Car Crashes Into East Riverdale Apartment
A 29-year-old resident suffered minor injuries when she was thrown from her bed by the impact.

An East Riverdale woman was thrown from her bed early Sunday when a car crashed through the wall of her bedroom, WUSA9 reports.
Michelle Sawah, 29, was asleep around 3:35 a.m. when a sedan rammed into the side of her apartment building in the 6800 block Riverdale Road, according to the report.
Sawah, who suffered only minor injuries, told the news channel she would "praise God more because he saved my life."

"I thought I was dead. I can't believe I'm standing here today," she said.
The driver, who was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, reportedly told police that her brakes "gave out" before the collision.

Investigators are still determining if drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
