Where/When: In Baltimore of course, through the weekend.

Why Go: Try some fantastic dishes at restaurants that would normally stretch your wallet, but this week they are serving three-coursed meals that are price frix, so you're getting a deal.

Pricing: Depends on which restaurant you choose, but most start at around $35.

 

2. Chinatown Lunar New Year Festival (http://patch.com/E-dj6D)

Where/When: Chinatown Community Cultural Center, Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Should be a fun event for the entire family including live music and dance performances, traditional Chinese calligraphy, children’s crafts, face painting, tai chi and kung fu demonstrations, lion dancing and more.

Pricing: Free

 

3. Washington Auto Show (http://www.washingtonautoshow.org/)

Where/When: 801 Mount Vernon Place, N.W.,Washington, DC 20001, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Why Go: Well you could check out some pretty cool cars, including ones powered by things other than gas and electricity. Also there are vendors, celebrities and tons to do.

Pricing: Adults - $12.00, children (6-12) - $5.00 and children (5 and Under) - Free

4. Black & White Ball (LINK TO EVENT LISTING OR VENUE SITE)

Where/When: 7931 Connecticut Ave. Chevy Chase, M, Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnigh. 

Why Go: It's a night out where you can dress up and swing dance to the music of Blue Sky Five.

Pricing: $20 in advance; $25 at the door.

 

5. Plays Well With Others (Clarice Smith Center)

Where/When: Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at Maryland, Sunday at 3 p.m.

Why Go: Some of the University of Maryland's faculty get together and play jazz music. Might be a great thing to check out if you're into that sort of stuff. 

Pricing: $27
