2. Cupid Undie Run

Where/When: The Pour House, Saturday party starts at noon, run starts at 2 p.m.

Why Go: The event raises money for The Children's Tumor Foundation and although registration is sold out, it still might be fun to watch people run in their underwear around Capitol Hill.

Pricing: Free entry into bar.

 

3. Oscar Scavenger Hunt

Where/When: American Red Cross headquarters at 17th and D Streets, N.W. Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Registration is at 2 p.m., the hunt starts at 2:30 p.m.

Why Go: Hosted by the American Red Cross and there's a chance to win tickets to the Oscar Night America party in D.C.

4. Purple Line Hearing 

Where/When: St. Bernard's Parish Emerald Room, 5700 St. Bernard Drive
Riverdale. Saturday at 10 a.m.

Why Go: The Central Kenilworth Avenue Community Development Corporation (CKAR) has invited representatives from the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) to talk about the proposed purple line project. Educate yourself about the project.

5. Hyattsville Library Celebrates Black History: African-American Spirituals

Where/When: Hyattsville Library, Saturday at 3 p.m.

Why Go: Take a look back and learn about African-American spirituals, while Soloist Valerie Harris-Gregory will perform.
