Police: Suspect Arrested for Attempted Murder

The Capitol Heights man reportedly stabbed a man in the chest during an argument.

A Capitol Heights man was found hiding in a bedroom closet when police came to serve an arrest warrant for attempted first-degree murder, according to the Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office.

In January 2014, the suspect, Airmus Dillard, reportedly argued with another man at a home on the 6400 block of Valley Park Road in Capitol Heights. Police say during the fight Dillard got a weapon from his room and stabbed the victim in the chest.

Police obtained a warrant on Jan. 8 and arrested Dillard at a Capitol Heights home on Monday. He was taken into custody without incident.
