'Shop with a Cop' Event Helps Less Fortunate Local Families

Make a difference during the season of giving!

‘Shop with a Cop’ provides less fortunate children and families in the Bowie area with a better holiday season.

Donations will be collected until the event takes place Dec. 14. The children that were selected through local agencies, churches, and schools will be given a certain spending limit to spend at a department store while being accompanied by a uniformed officer. The purchases will be made possible by the public’s tax deductible donations.

Donations can be made by filling out the online form and returning it to the City of Bowie Police Department, 15901 Excalibur Road.

Texas Roadhouse will provide lunch for the children as well.

This is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive difference in a child’s life and show what this time of year is really all about.
