The full moon will be darkened by the shadow of the Earth around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday marking the beginning of winter, or the winter solstice. According to <a href="http://www.nasa.gov/eclipse" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">NASA</a>, the lunar eclipse will last from 1:33 a.m. to 5:01 a.m. when the moon's appearance will change colors from bright orange to blood red to dark brown and maybe even gray.
