Witness the Lunar Eclipse Tonight

As a part of winter solstice, people can view the lunar eclipse early Tuesday morning.

Although for weeks the weather has reflected wintertime, it isn't officially here until Tuesday.

The full moon will be darkened by the shadow of the Earth around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday marking the beginning of winter, or the winter solstice.

According to NASA, the lunar eclipse will last from 1:33 a.m. to 5:01 a.m. when the moon's appearance will change colors from bright orange to blood red to dark brown and maybe even gray.
