Local Group Collects Funds for Boy Killed in Annapolis Parade

Kyle Aldridge, 7, died at the Annapolis July Fourth parade.

The Good Neighbors Group in Severna Park is raising money for the family of the 7-year-old boy killed during the Fourth of July parade in Annapolis.

Kyle Aldridge died after he fell off the float being driven by his grandfather during the annual Fourth of July parade in Annapolis, police said. The float was also in the Severna Park Fourth of July parade earlier that day.

Kyle was on a float owned by iWHEELiE.com. The company’s owner is one of the Good Neighbors Group’s most active members, according to group founder Julie Shay.

Shay said the owner is helping family members fly in for Kyle’s funeral, which will be held on Friday. He has agreed to pay for the great grandmother's airline ticket, understanding that Good Neighbors will reimburse him.

Good Neighbors Group is trying to collect $490 for the flight expenses. Shay said anyone who would like to contribute should write a check payable to The Good Neighbors Group with Kyle’s name in the memo.
