Man Drowns In Severn River Monday

A 30-year-old man drowned Monday in the Severn River near Severna Park. Anne Arundel County firefighters pulled him from the water.

SEVERNA PARK, MD — A 30-year-old man was pulled from the Severn River along the 400 block of Holland Road Monday afternoon. He was declared dead shortly before 2 p.m.

Someone had spied the man's wet jacket on the beach and called 911. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to the call and found the man in two to three feet of water.
