Severna Park Home Under Renovation Damaged In Fire

Anne Arundel County Fire officials are investigating what caused a fire at a Severna Park house being renovated.

SEVERNA PARK, MD — A Severna Park home under renovation was extensively damaged by fire Thursday morning, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. The fire was reported about 9:50 a.m. in the 400 block of White Plains Court and 26 firefighters were dispatched.

Fire crews said flames were coming through the roof of the home and were in the attic of the two-story single house when they arrive. The fire was brought under control in less than 30 minutes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Anne Arundel County Fire and Explosives Investigation unit.
