Severna Park PE Teacher From Millersville Charged In Locker Thefts
A Severna Park High School P.E. teacher from Millersville has been charged with stealing from student lockers, police say.

SEVERNA PARK, MD — A Severna Park High School gym teacher from Millersville has been charged with stealing from student lockers, according to Anne Arundel County Police. Jerry Parker Hines Jr., 55, of the 1300 block of Shawnee Court in Millersville, was arrested Wednesday on three criminal counts.
Police officers were called to the school to investigate a theft that took place in the boys’ locker room. Investigators suspected Hines, a physical education teacher, as the person who had committed the theft, as well as two other thefts from the locker room.

Anne Arundel County Public Schools Chief Communications Officer Bob Mosier told the Capital-Gazette that Hines has been transferred to another district building and will have no contact with students or access to school money. District officials have begun to study Hines' dismissal, the newspaper reports.
