Simple Sands Deli Raises Funds for Local Schools

Sunday’s at Simple Sands Deli in Pasadena are about giving back to the community. 

Every first Sunday of the month the sandwich shop on Ritchie Highway donates 10 percent of sales to Severna Park Elementary. And on the second Sunday of the month, 10 percent goes to Shipley’s Choice.

Simple Sands owner John Sparkman said it was important to him to give back to the community. He started with Severna Park Elementary because that’s where his children go, and then Shipley’s asked to be involved as well.

Sparkman said he is looking for more schools to fill the rest of the Sundays each month.

“We want to do as much fundraising as we can for local schools,” Sparkman said. “It’s important to do things to help future generations.”

Simple Sands Deli is located at 8249 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena.
