Best Jobs 2017: Silver Spring Among Top Spots for These 19 Jobs

SILVER SPRING, MARYLAND — A job search can be difficult, with factors like salary, benefits, work-life balance and advancement potential. But, what about location? In its latest report on the 100 Best Jobs for 2017, U.S. News and World Report also looked at the best cities for dozens of professions.

Silver Spring, Maryland is among the top cities for 19 jobs covering a wide range of fields and salary levels. They include a gynecologist with an average salary of $268,750 and a nail technician with an average salary of $35,270.

U.S. News used data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics to build its Best Jobs list, along with results on seven key measures: 10-year growth volume, 10-year growth percentage, median salary, employment rate, future job prospects, stress level and work-life balance.
