Christmas Morning House Fire Injures 3, Displaces 5

Fire at a house on Narrows Court, Silver Spring, on Christmas morning displaced five people.

A Christmas morning house fire on Narrows Court in Silver Spring injured three people and displaced five people, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service Assistant Chief Scott Graham reported on Twitter (@MCFirePIO).

Rescuers were at the scene of the fire—on the first floor of a two-story, single-family home—by 8:30 a.m. One man was burned and was taken to the hospital, Graham tweeted.

The man's burns are considered non-life-threatening, WUSA 9 reported.

Two firefighters also suffered minor burns, Graham added.

Five adults were displaced by the fire, which caused $750,000 in damages, Graham reported on Twitter.

The rescue service was determining the cause of the fire as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, Graham added.
