First Watch Opens Newest Location In Maryland

SILVER SPRING, MD — A new brunch spot, First Watch, has opened in the White Oak area of Montgomery County. You can find the venue at 12255 Prosperity Drive in Silver Spring.

It's the sixth Maryland location for the dining chain. Other restaurants are in Rockville, Bowie, Columbia, Laurel, and Gaithersburg, according to the First Watch website. All sites offer fresh breakfast, brunch and lunch made to order.

Items on the menu include Double Crunch Breakfast Tacos, Steak and Eggs Hash, Cinnamon Chip Pancake Breakfast, Stay Golden Cinnamon Roll, Red Medicine and Million Dollar Bacon.

There's also a kids' menu and small plates, plus a juice bar, iced coffee, omelettes and frittatas, egg dishes, pancakes, salads and sandwiches

Here's what First Watch says about its menu offerings:

"We welcome each season into the First Watch menu with ingredients and flavors inspired by the position of the sun. That’s why on our menu you’ll find vibrant, green California-grown asparagus in April, or the most refreshing Florida watermelon in July, or tender, sweet yellow corn from the Midwest in August.

"… For our signature drip coffee, we wanted a truly special roast, so we started Project Sunrise, venturing to Colombia to find the richest beans and to personally meet the female farmers who grow them."
