New Bonchon Location Opening In Silver Spring In 2023
Korean fried chicken chain Bonchon will open three new location in Montgomery County, one of which will be in Silver Spring.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Bonchon, the Korean fried chicken chain, will open three new Montgomery County locations, the company announced. One will be in Silver Spring, and the other two will be in Wheaton and Bethesda.
“Bonchon is already a favorite mealtime destination for residents in Maryland and Washington D.C., so we know that these restaurants will be a great success,” said Greg Buchanan, senior vice president of development at Bonchon. “Building strong relationships with operators dedicated to bringing our special food and culture to more neighborhoods will continue to grow our footprint across the world.”
The first of the new restaurants is expected to open in February, 2023, the news release said.There are already Bonchon locations in Gaithersburg, Germantown, and Rockville.

"Bonchon, which translates from Korean to English as 'my hometown,' is known for its signature Korean fried chicken that is hand battered, double-fried to achieve its signature, crave-worthy crunch," the news release says. "Every piece of chicken is hand brushed to make each bite perfectly flavorful."
