$10K Reward Offered In Fatal Shooting Of Silver Spring Man: Police
A $10,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can supply information that leads to the arrest or indictment in a July 16 fatal shooting.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — A $10,000 reward is being offered for anyone who can provide information that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the person responsible for the fatal shooting of a Silver Spring mechanic, according to a release from the Takoma Park Police Department.
Police found Nurhusen Muhammed Hamid suffering from a gunshot wound around 11:07 a.m., on July 16, in the Advance Auto Parts parking lot in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue. Hamid was taken to the hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries but later died.
An investigation revealed that an unknown person walked up to Hamid and shot him. The shooter then left the parking lot on foot and entered a waiting white colored SUV on Eastern Avenue, according to police. The SUV left the area and traveled to the District of Columbia on New Hampshire Avenue.

On Friday, police released photos of Hamid, the suspect, and the suspect's vehicle. Police said the suspect was wearing a white T-shirt, a dark-colored baseball cap, and jeans.
Hamid was a mobile mechanic, who worked throughout the area, including Takoma Park, Hyattsville, and Northwest D.C., according to police.
