Update 11:01 a.m.: The road in the 6900 block of Carroll Avenue between Laurel Avenue and Willow Avenue has been re-opened, Takoma Park Police said. Original story: The road in the 6900 block of Carroll Avenue between Laurel Avenue and Willow Avenue will be closed due to the instability of a Pepco pole, Takoma Park Police said.   The fire department is on the scene and Pepco was notifed and is en route.  The road closure is expected to last approximately two hours.  As an alternate route, you can use Laurel Avenue and Eastern Avenue.  Ride On/Metro Transit have been notified. Check back for any updates.
