Update: Attempted Auto Theft on Elm Ave, Another Car Stolen on Maple
Property was not missing from the vehicle.

Update 11:46 a.m.: A car was stolen Sunday around 8 p.m. in the 7000 block of Maple Ave. police said.
A subject described as a black male, last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, was seen driving the stolen vehicle out of the building parking lot driving east on Lincoln Avenue toward Carroll Avenue, police said. The stolen vehicle is a green Chrysler Town & Country van with Maryland tag #454M730.

A car was broken into and almost stolen Saturday around 8:52 a.m. in the 100 block of Elm Ave. Takoma Park Police said.
The victim parked his black 2002 Jeep Liberty vehicle on the roadway. When he returned to the vehicle, he noticed that the steering column was damaged and the ignition was punched, police said. Property was not missing from the vehicle.
