Someone attempted to break into a Flower Avenue house Saturday afternoon, Takoma Park Police said. Around 4 p.m. on Dec. police responded to the 8600 block of Flower Avenue for reports of an attempted breaking an entering that occured between noon and 3:20 p.m. The person tried to gain entry by tampering with the deadbolt on the door, but entry was not made, police said Investigation continues under case #11060308. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please call 301.270.1100.
