Christmas Day Fire Displaces Family of 8
Firefighters state there were no smoke alarms in the Gaithersburg home.
A Christmas Day tragedy has displaced a family of eight in Gaithersburg.
The fire that ignited in the 36 Anna Court home originated in the second-floor bedroom of the three-level, condominium-style townhouse, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services spokesman Pete Piringer said, tweeting photos and information on the fire.
The cause of the fire was ruled as accidental due to a child playing with a lighter, Piringer said. The cost of damage was estimated at $120,000
