Compassion Over Killing, a national animal rights non-profit based in Takoma Park, will hold a free workshop on how to best help animals with author Caryn Ginsberg. The workshop is Feb. 4 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Compassion Over Killing headquarters at 6930 Carroll Avenue.
