“Courage in Unpredictable Times: Yoga to Reduce Trauma and Anxiety”

Workshop open to all; no yoga experience needed

Willow Street Yoga Center is hosting the workshop “Courage in Unpredictable Times: Reducing Trauma and Anxiety.” This class includes discussion, healing poses, appropriate readings, and breathwork. It will be held on Sunday, September 11, from 2 – 5 PM at the center, 6930 Carroll Avenue, Suite 100, Takoma Park, MD.

We’ve all experienced anxiety. Fear of the unknown can exacerbate symptoms of stress or trigger panic attacks. Let’s stop for a bit and reconnect with ourselves and one another. The cost for the workshop is $30.00 and includes materials for vision boards. Follow this link: Workshops and Events, Willow Street Yoga

The instructor is Cheryl Kravitz, APR, CFRE, RYT200, a Willow Street Yoga Teacher Training Program graduate. She received additional certification to teach yoga to survivors of trauma, restorative yoga, and yoga for brain longevity. She teaches specialized yoga to people with injuries, survivors of abuse, individuals with dementia, and caregivers. Everything discussed in the workshop is always confidential. All levels of students are welcome. Poses will mainly be restorative.
