Juvenile Arrested in Takoma Metro Station Robbery
The boy is now in the custody of the Metropolitan Police Department.

Takoma Park Police arrested a 15-year-old boy Friday for robbing a metro rider getting off at the Takoma Station.
Around 5:20 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to Walnut Avenue at Westmoreland Avenue for the report of a strong arm robbery that had just occurred, police said.
At the scene, it was revealed that the robbery occurred at the Takoma Park Metro Station as the victim was walking home. Officers from the Metropolitan Transit Police were in the area searching for the suspect, who had been last seen fleeing on foot near Eastern Avenue and Walnut Avenue. A subject matching the description that was broadcast by the Takoma Park Police communications dispatchers was spotted walking in the gassy area beside a residence on Elm Avenue. The boy attempted to flee on foot without success. Metropolitan Transit Police took custody of the juvenile.
