TAKOMA PARK, MD — A Silver Spring man was arrested in Takoma Park for allegedly dealing PCP and marijuana, possessing a stolen handgun, and fleeing from police.
Takoma Park Police responded to the 500 block of Boston Ave. at about 8:48 a.m. Monday for the complaint of a suspicious car that had been parked in the same spot for two or three days. Police made contact with the driver—Agwe Mubelle Tabrey, 25—and immediately detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the inside of his car, police said.
Tabrey was asked to exit his car, and while officers were talking to him he fled on foot northbound to Margaret Drive, police said. Officers eventually caught up with him.

A K9 officer conducted a search of Tabrey's car. Officers recovered a handgun, marijuana and Phencyclidine (PCP) in an amount indicative of an intent to sell, police said. The gun recovered was found to be stolen from Virginia and turned over to the gun unit, police said. Tabrey also had an outstanding warrant through Montgomery County Police.
Tabrey was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit without further incident.
