Man Pleads Guilty To Assaulting Victim Who Denied Prostitute's Services
A Clinton man pleaded guilty to assaulting a victim who denied the services of a prostitute in Takoma Park, police said.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — A Clinton man pleaded guilty in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County to robbing and assaulting a Takoma Park man after he denied the services of a prostitute he made contact with on an internet prostitution page, police said.
Kristofer Harris, 26, was arrested Aug. 10 by the Takoma Park Police Department’s Special Investigations Section. He pleaded guilty Wednesday for second-degree assault and wearing/carrying a firearm on person, which calls for a five year prison sentence, police said.
On Feb. 13, police responded to the 1200 block of Myrtle Ave. in Takoma Park for the report of a home invasion robbery. Investigation revealed the victim made contact with a female suspect through an internet prostitution page, and when she got to his house, he had changed his mind, police said.

The home owner heard someone banging on his front door and when he opened it, Harris was at the door holding a gun, police said. Harris told the victim to hand over his money. When the victim didn't comply, a physical fight ensued.
The female suspect became involved and hit the victim with a bat, police said. The suspects then grabbed the money and other personal property belonging to the victim and fled the residence.
A search warrant for Harris’ residence was requested and granted to recover items Harris stole, police said. Along with the five year prison sentence, he was also sentenced to five years of probation and given a $1,000 fine.
