Last week in anticipation of our on Takoma Park crime stats. Well, the results are in. Eighty percent of respondents said they feel safe in Takoma Park and 20 percent said they did not. Residents do have a reason to feel safer. There were nearly 100 fewer crimes in Takoma Park in 2011 than in 2010. There were 565 crimes in the city in 2011, as compared to 652 in 2010.
